Betta Fish: Found my dream Betta

I feel like this is the only group of people who will fully appreciate this.

For the past month I’ve been building a 20 gallon planted tank, cycling it properly, dialing in CO2, stabilizing the light ramp, and letting everything settle. From the beginning, it was always meant to house a male Halfmoon Betta. I just hadn’t found him yet.

Last night, I did.

I’m a huge sci fi nerd, and the second I saw him, I knew. Like any good fish father, I gave him a name and, naturally, a bit of lore.

I present to you Tharos, pronounced with a long A and a long O.

Forged in the charged atmosphere of the planet Cyrathis, a world of deep blue and green storm clouds where lightning never fully fades, he now prepares to rule his new domain.

I won’t receive him for a couple of weeks, but I’ve never been this emotionally attached to a fish.
