Most guys are fishing offshore and using electronics to find bass on my local lake. That’s fun at all, but I really love flipping jigs into the shallow cattails along the shoreline. Since most guys are not doing this, I had the reeds (and the bass) to myself today. Standard black and blue jig with a beaver trailer to the damage. Both are homebrew.

Love that approach. Everyone chases offshore fish with electronics and forgets how good shallow cover can be. Black and blue with a beaver trailer just gets crushed. What weight were you throwing?
