This little fella arrived yesterday. He was drip acclimated overnight and added to the tank this morning. I had to go into the office so was very excited to come home and see him. When I looked in the tank, I couldn’t find him! Then I saw him at the top of the tank in the floating ferns. Dude wasn’t moving and I freaked out. I moved the ferns a little and he darted out from his nap. I have heard they like to pretend dead when sleeping but I never thought it would be so real. He ate well for me, feeding Bug Bites Betta (have other food types for rotation but starting slow with the pellets to monitor appetite). He’s exploring and showing off for me. I absolutely adore him and can’t wait to watch him grow.

Thanks to this group for teaching me how to care for him. What started out as me seeing the Betta at the big box store and going “Ooh pretty” turned into me finding this group and going down the rabbit hole, learning all I could, spending way more money than anticipated to get his home right for him, and now, being able to introduce him to you!! Now to find places for more tanks so I can do this all over again. 😂
