I highly recommend pushing back the soil substrate that you can see in the front of the tank and put sand in the front of it. It will make the tank look more congruent. Hopefully that makes sense!

Do you know about epiphytes? They’re the plants you attach to driftwood or rock instead of planting. Most common and hardy ones are java fern and Anubias. I suggest getting both and some driftwood to attach them to. Look up aquascaping on YouTube for your size tank then have fun with those next 6 hours lol.

I would slop the substrate. I would make it all black but if you like the snow effect its awesome.

What kind of fish are starting with? I assume salt water with the sand? 🤔

Get a black background. It’ll make the plants and fish look way better.

That’s a great stand, fits it perfectly

Get the plants as soon as the dust settles in your tank after you fill it. Kick start the cycling process since they are basically already seasoned.

I do not think your sand will stay on top of the other substrate. Most likely it will sink down beneath it over the next several weeks until it’s out of sight entirely.
