During my morning fish tv, I spotted this little fry.

Wondering who the likely mother will be.

Maternal candidates are……

My harlequin rasboras, they are rampant and constantly go at it. Many eggs released and fertilised, none have ever stuck to the leaves and floated off to be usually eaten but some have reached between plants.

Peppered coydoras, although never seen eggs anywhere.

My suspicion lands firmly on a sunset platy I added to the tank last night. She has come from a community tank in work where the male platy(he has 2 other females that have had his fry) has seriously attacked her. He doesnt attack the other females. She could not swim in the open as he would dash across the tank, nip her and whip her with his tail. This has been going on weeks. So I decided to add her to mine away from him.
So its very possible she has come and birthed now she's not being constantly assaulted.

Only seen the one, admittedly they hide well and could be more.

Can't wait to see what it is.
