Living filter
So I had this idea 2 weeks ago to turn a log and some plants into a living filter for my aquarium- which began with my cats constantly destroying my terrestrial plants. My mom gifted me this log a while ago which she had used as an outdoor planter for as long as I can remember, and I thought it would look amazing in an aquarium. My guppies and swordtails love it, and so do the plants! I love seeing the new roots growing, and the plants seem to have survived my cats lol I also added a bunch of java moss to the inner part of the log since it soaks up a lot of water, and it’s created a soft carpet (I also just love moss in general and I adore petting it :3 )
