It’s a 12 year old hobie that has been through the ringer with 75-100 days/yr on the water. The crack has been there for a couple years, but I managed by sealing the (not pictured) scupper sheath rim with epoxy putty. It worked well until I screwed everything up the other day by being extra.

Long story sort, I had to remove the entire sheath due to an overzealous touch up of putty. Better is the enemy of good enough.

Since the crack is exposed now I thought I might as well try to properly seal it before I just slap another band-aid on it again.

  1. Depends on what the hull is made of as epoxy puddy, applied, dried, shaped and sanded, may also work and be a better fix.
