This is Pi and I had him for 5 months. I feed 5 bug bites in the morning and a pinch of frozen brine shrimp at night. I feed frozen bloodworms occasionally. Am I feeding too much? He seems a bit round. I will post a side view in the comments section

    • Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes

    • Tank temperature: 80F

    • Parameters in numbers and how you got them. Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.: API test kit, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 0 nitrates

    • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: tank 6 months, fish 5 months

    • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: water change every 2 weeks, about 25%, siphon and take out some water, then add water with prime

    • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: 2 Amano shrimp and a Neritr snail

    • What do you feed and how much: 5-6 bug bites am, a pinch of brine shrimp pm, occasional bloodworm

    • Decorations and plants in the tank: a piece of drift wood, lot’s of guppy grass, and one floating log

  2. You are feeding him too much, bettas only require about 3-5 pellets over the day. He is a bit of a rotundus haha.
Fasting one day a week may help

if it was a female it would be debatable as females are typically thicker and carry eggs, but as a male he’s a little tubby lmao. I would just “diet” him by feeding a little less and feed like every other day
