Had my helix for 7-8 yrs and have been working fine.
Went out today fishing around 60fow, but it kept showing depth as 25 with a fairly solid red line. It shows the lure and fish find above 25 but nothing below. Tried manually adjust the bottom to 70 but that did nothing.
The wife was using the ice 55 that was showing the correct depth.
Any ideas onwhats going on? Turn the unit on and off, replug in the cables did nothing.

Sounds like you may need a new transducer
My Helix does some weird things when the ducer gets mad. If I have to pull it out while the sonar is running for more than 5 seconds and don’t put it face down on the ice, it won’t read depth for a minute.
If it’s really wacky it will read a bogus depth and I have to turn the whole thing off for a while. Sometimes a short power cycle doesn’t reset whatever was wrong because the circuits haven’t fully discharged.
