So I just bought this new combo from Bass Pro and I noticed some scratch marks on it but I can’t tell if it’s cracked or not.

Just bend it. If it’s got a split you’ll know.

If you’re not far from the store, just return it and get another one. Doesn’t really look like cracks. Looks like scuffs. Any type of damage like that isn’t good for graphite rods though.

Just a scratch on the finish, those unfinished graphite rods like that scrape off easily and get scuffed up, especially on the cheaper ones, 20:1 odds its not damaged beyond cosmetic. Most all my rods have this and I’ve had no issues
