Recently got this little dude from the pet shop and they told me it was a male but I searched up dumbo betta female and bro looks exactly like the females any help would be appreciated 😭

does he have an egg spot? males can have fake ones though, Maybe try candling to see if he/she has any eggs and ovaries you can look up tutorials online
