I know there are plenty of posts like this already asking the same thing and I've read through a lot of them already, but I'm making another one anyway <3
I'm an avid fisher guy and want to get futher out on the water, but I live in an apartment and don't have the storage space or hauling abilities for a regular kayak. And getting my house hold manager (my wife) to approve a full size boat with a dock space and state of the art equipment, is like asking to get a new 100 inch TV with full suround sound everywhere. Or like asking to go to the strip club and do lines off of a strippers butt. Or like asking to go to the casino and getting straight hammered and losing all of my money with the boys on a tuesday night in Cambodia. It's Impossible! Not that I want to do any of those things or that I've ever asked, other than the TV of course, what man doesn't want the biggest TV am I right? Anywho you get the gist, so kayaks with "city of the art equipment" will have to do.
Anyone have any recommendations for either an inflatable or modular kayak for fishing? If It can be tandem and go out onto the ocean thats even better. I don't need it go super fast, fly, sit, bark or do backflips. But I would like it to float and hold up good nuff' for some fishin' with my pardner. Yeah yeah yeah I know I gotta be careful with sharp shit around an inflatable kayak, if anything I should be more worried about being out on the water with my wife, thats gotta be more dangerous. They, as in kayak maker people, have to have gotten pretty far with rigidity in these things right? It just make sense to get one because of space, the ease of transportation, and of course… approval.
I'm pretty much going between Bote, King fisher, Point 65, *Long Wave, and a brand called *Spatium. (*'s are my top two)
The inflatable SUP board/Kayak thing from Spatium seems pretty freakin sick. Has the ability to be tandem, has a plate to mount a motor, has mounts for a bunch of different stuff. I found it on amazon for only $1,176, but on their website it's $1,899. Can anyone back this brand or tell me to stay away from it?

Space and me not being a complete degenerate are pretty much the only issues and I don't mind spending the money for something good, but I don't want to go crazy if I don't have too. Lmk what y'all think please. Thanks in advance kayak amigos!

You should really check out ReelYaks fishing kayaks. They make reliable, great modular fishing kayaks that are easy to transport and store!
Inflatables can be really good and handy! I have a fishing kayak and a Sup too, I prefer the kayak over the inflatable, but now I have space to store it! When I didn’t have the space, I just dreamed about it, but now I have both and I miss the time that I wasted to not get an inflatable one sooner. It takes no space, it’s basically a huge duffle bag! I’m using it in a heavy environment, with a lot of oyster beds and sharp objects. It holds great, now it has a lot of scratches and marks, but I didn’t have any issues yet!
Kayak is a whole different story! Both have their space and time. Even a modular like ReelYaks needs a lot of space!

I used one of those Intek or wtv brand from Costco that I borrowed from a friend because I didn’t know I was going to become completely addicted to kayak fishing, and it worked great. I don’t think that particular brand would be the go to for lots of kayak fishing but it definitely gets the job done. Just watch those pointy things of course.
So I think the RIGHT inflatable would be totally viable.
Tight lines!
I have a lot of firsthand experience with inflatables. Steer away from Amazon and overseas slimy Chinese companies. Look at sea eagle fish sup, hobie itrek if you want a pedal drive
I fish out of an inflatable Saturn, which doesn’t have the capacity for two people, but it’s worked for my needs. As far as fishing from an inflatable goes, I think it’s overblown. Fish hooks simply do not dig into the floor during normal use, and reasonably sized fish don’t either when they’re flopping around on the floor. All the damage I’ve ever done to a kayak has been from being lazy and dragging it at the boat launch and then having to repair the bottom when I notice it has a slow leak
