I am fairly new to fishing. Picked it up a year ago after getting off the booze. I absolutely love fishing for trout. The other day I caught about 10 in the same small city pond. Aside from spawning colors, what causes such a wide variety of colors in the same species. Most looked like average rainbows but a couple I almost though were some sort of hybrids. Same pond. All caught within an hour. These are just the ones I took pictures of. Is it diet, genetics, maybe a combination? Im most interested in the first photo with the tan/brown colors. The rest look like the regular rainbows im used to.
