Beautiful! I am a newb building my first tank. I am considering neos vs something sterile like amanos. I like the self sustaining idea of a breeding variety but also dont want things to get out of hand- any advice? My goal is a natural, low tech, dirted tank with some schooling and individual fish, so not a pure shrimp tank. Thinking that too many babies may be self regulated by predatory fish?

My small tank 10 gallon gets so dirty with algae on the glass, I try to clean it once a week or may go over a week at times but no more than two weeks. How to prevent this and keep my tank clean. I have fish only, no algae eaters.
