I set up and started cycling a 10 gallon tank for a betta fish. After it was ready to go, I bought my betta and some more floating plants from a local aquarium store, but a few days later I noticed this little guy in the tank (along with several others that are still tiny and brown). Does anyone know what it is? Will it be okay in a 10 gallon with a male betta?

Looks like a platy fry. There’s also a chance it’s a swordtail fry, the 2 look very similar in their early stages.
No it shouldn’t stay with the betta certainly not in a 10 gallon, you can scoop them up and give them back to the store

And I bet somehow it’s also already pregnant too.
