Hello, I am a future first time betta fish owner (I do not have any fish yet but I hope to have one soon!) and I was wondering if this wood arrangment would be fine or dangerous for the betta fish fins?

I'm planning on getting either a veiltail or a delta as I heard they have less health issues then some of the larger finned bettas. I want to keep it cluttered so he feels safe and I plan to file down/fill any dangerous sharp bits or gaps they could potentially squeeze into, but I want to make sure that my betta will be able to swim comfortably and navigate through the branches.

I wanted to potentially have some raspboras with the betta, hence why I was trying to provide extra hiding spots for them to feel safer. The wood is only in one corner and I plan to keep the center of the tank to only be planted so everyone has swimming space.

  1. That’s an interesting looking arrangement, I like it. What size is your tank, and what else do you have in there? That would help to gauge how much space it’s taking!
