Saw this guy in the store but left. A few hours later I magically teleported back, and was walking out with him and his receipt in hand. (I wish my phone was able to take better pictures!)
One, I've never seen one so pretty and _healthy_ looking at this particular store, and two, I couldn't get the thought out of my head of someone buying him and shoving him in a 1g heaterless filterless tank to die in a week. Plus he was hidden on the bottom shelf with the plants, so there's a good chance a worker might have forgotten about him.
So now I'm up to four bettas, and he is the first I haven't gotten as a free sickly rescue… but I think he's worth it. He'll be enjoying the 37 gallon to himself along with some kuhli and cory friends!
Open to name suggestions, I was thinking something food related like Kimchi or Gochugaru. ⁉️

holy he’s gorgeous! His vibe gives of koi idk why lmao. I’m curious how many you kuhli and cory you have in your tank with your betta? I have a 140 gal tank thats admittedly pretty sad since I have zero fishies in there and am planning to get that exact combo ;D
