This is my first glide bait and I’m wondering, am I supposed to leave the treble hook fixed into the body when fishing it ?

I leave it snapped up there most the time, helps a little with weeds. It’s not hurting much though if its just hanging.

I had fun with these last year on milfoil edges, pad edges and near docks. You can play with the retrieves too. Chop it, steady retrieve and let it die. It’s a neat starter bait
