hey everyone, sooooooo, my boss just gave me this rod (he’s an avid fisher) after overhearing that I wanted to learn how to fish. Which I do, I just have no idea what I’m doing. I plan on buying a license, a reel, and some lures and honestly just watching some YouTube videos and heading out to the coast. For context I live in SoCal, about a 20 min drive to the beach and plan on surf fishing.
Do yall have any reel recommendations that won’t break the bank ? Aka less than $100? Also, how would I know what reel fits on this rod? TIA!!!
