Ended up getting this bad boy for $45. Reel was $190 after taxes at tackle warehouse, had a $100 credit I applied and $45 cash back through my Apple Card. So I said fuck it. I will be throwing it on one of my rods this Sunday and will post my honest opinion(s)… most people are just bitter over the “Made in USA” and believing the hate from the interwebs. I don’t know anyone personally that has one, so I seized the opportunity to find out and share for myself.

Right there with you! Traded in some old gear a while back and never spent the $120 credit. Had $56 on credit card points. Spent another $25 or so out of pocket to grab the Bates EDC. Recently got a dobyns travel rod to throw in my truck. I think I will use this as my dedicated travel reel on that rod.
