So it’s been 2-3 weeks since I made this tank, and I have some snails living in it for now, but why is the water brownish and is it due to diatom algae ? How to have a more clear water and less diatom algae ? I am using RO water when doing a water change and my TDS is 120. Help

Could it possibly be tannins from the wood?
Your wood is releasing tannins into the water most likely. Large changes should remove them. Carbon in your filter would work too.
Honestly that looks totally fine to me. Where’s the “brown” water? You’ve also got some driftwood in there, which is leaching tannins into the water, so a little coloration of the water is completely normal.
Would anyone in your house be possibly dropping browns in it?
Probably tannins. They will leech for awhile. Seachem Purigen is great at removing tannins.
