I’ve had both of them for 6+months and never seen this. One is green dragon bristle nose and the other is a bushy nose, both longfin

    Like he said. Separate them. That appears to be fighting. What size tank is that?

    Edit: iv had 2 plecos in my tank and never had that happen before

  2. One or both of those fish is going to wind up dead. Males can be extremely territorial.

    They are doing more damage than you can see. They hit hard enough to deliver killing internal damage. They will hunt each other to deliver it.

    They are fighting. Happened to some of mine too, although not longfins. Set up a second tank or give one of them. They will hurt each other until one (or both) dies.

    Since you have so many bottoms dwellers, is there enough food for them ?
    Glad u separated them cause it looks like they’re fighting

    You be surprised how vicious these plecos can be. Myth is they peaceful and calm algae vacs, nope.
