Hi, I'm pretty new to fishing and have never used a baitcaster. I've seen these little baitcast reels and like that they look like mini versions of the salt water setups, and have a classic look to them I like.
So that said, I know this isn't a greay reel to learn with, isn't the best, and isn't really intended for how I'm gonna use it.
But I have no idea how to spool, set up, or even use a casting reel. Also need to find s rod for it, and I'm wanting something short, like 5ft or less, unless it's just impossible to cast a really short casting setup.
Sorry if that's kind of jumbled, I probably don't even know the right questions to ask, but interested in anything someone can tell me about how to set up and use this reel, and would love rod recommendations.
This isn't gonna be my main rod, just something to play with here and there.
