Betta Fish: is it common for bettas to make a bubble nest a couple hours into a new tank ?

just got this guy and he built a nest already, does that mean he’s very happy? i have a nerite snail and 2 amano shrimps in his 7.5 gallon tank. it has lots of plants and hiding places, and they were introduced into the tank before the betta so they could find hiding areas. i introduced this guy today and made sure i picked a calm non aggressive betta from the store. he’s never flared at the shrimp and instead kinda just stares at them for a bit and fucks off.
