The gate was open, no private property or no fishing signs were posted. When I got there, i saw the karens playing with their motorized toy boats. It was inconvenient for fishing but i figured the lake is big enough for everyone i will just go to the other side and leave them alone. Just when i was about to launch my kayak they walked up to me and said that no fishing was aloud, that they have a contract with the city of Saint Petersburg to use this body of water for their “work”. Some F bombs were dropped, I called the cops because I felt I was being harassed and ultimately they said that its best I should leave. No problem next time I will lanunch my kayak on a different part of the lake

If this lake is owned by the city, how can certain people have access to it but not you? How could the city enter into a contract to allow them to use it and no one else? If it’s city property then it’s publicly owned right? If it is no fishing then why isn’t it posted? So many questions here
Rich people are so bored it’s weird.
If the suggestion is “best that I leave” that’s gonna be no from me. Unless documents or a legit reason like trespassing or even a hidden no fishing sign or the people had this contract, then sure I’m out no problem. If it’s just to “please” the upset people, I’m sorry but just no.
