Im wanting to switch this baitcaster to 30lb braid. Can I just tie on to this little bit of line on there or should I respool?

Should be fine to tie into that. Lots of guys use mono backing.

I got braid on with about 50 yards of fluorocarbon in front. I like it. I don’t rly like running straight braid or braid as a leader. Personal preference tho
