Hey guys about to get an oldtown PDL 106 or 120, and while watching my 100th video it just dawned on me that it doesn’t have any obvious stern tie downs. I’ve seen people mention putting straps through the scuffer holes but I’m worried about potentially damaging the hull doing that.
Would additional tie downs from the handles to raised rails work? I have a bronco sport and it has raised rails on the side that have small gaps that could certainly prevent the kayak from moving forward imo. Would that be a vible solution? I took a picture off of google to kind a show my vision lol

I run straps through the drive hole one towards the front and one towards the back.
Stern and bow lines are not to hold the kayak down, they are for preventing slips front to rear. They should not be tied down enough to cause any hull damage.
