Would like to add plants that add color, ideally something with red to my 5 gallon. It currently has betta, Nerite, and (2) cherry shrimp (have ordered 10 more). But I want some different color plants.
Any thoughts? I regret using the pebble substrate since they won’t hold grass or plants.

Tiger lotus I recommend. Since this is a small tank you may find dwarf types if it’s exist. It is sold as a bulb (looks like a small potato). You can put the bulb on the surface of substrate and wait one or two weeks. Then small leaves comes.
