Hello everyone,
Since I’m living near the Dutch border now, I decided to start targeting pike and carp. Until recently, I only did some surfcasting in Italy (I was born and raised there).
For pike fishing from the shore, I bought a Daiwa Procaster 2.40 m (15–50 g casting weight), paired with a Daiwa Ninja LT 3000-C.
Since I’d like to put out a second rod for carp while I’m spinning, I also picked up a more affordable combo from DAM — a DAM Telespin 3.60 m (30–60 g) paired with a DAM Fighter Pro 150.
What do you guys think about this setup for a beginner?
Right now I’m having fun building some terminal tackle rigs and getting everything ready. I’m hoping to get out fishing next week — I’ve missed it a lot since moving north!
