DO NOT BUY – I guess if the fading doesn’t matter to you it’s worth it. $7-$8 a spool but faded this hard after one outing. It’s worse in person.

Genuine question. Why does the color fading matter to the fish at all?

Meanwhile I’m over here buying white braid to get begin with and getting upset when the algae stains it green. 😂

The fading color itself doesn’t actually matter IMO – could just be excess color rinsing off. Nylon doesn’t hold color like cotton fibers.
That said, I’ve had less consistent strength from Berkley braid than Power Pro. For almost all situations requiring 80lb or less braided line, I’m choosing the basic formulation of Power Pro. I’ve never had Power Pro fail for reasons other than obvious overloading or something abrasive/sharp.
If I”m going over 80lb braid, I’m choosing JB Hollow Core 130lb for it’s consistent strength and high quality, along with being able to splice heavy mono top-shot or leader.
