Just my two cents if anyone is considering this rod. I picked up a used 7'6", 4wt. two years ago and have been absolutely delighted with the rod. This particular rod is unique in that it was designed by Todd Snyder so it has a unique finish, sock and rod tube. Other than that, it is identical to the yellow pocket water rods. I paid sub $100 for it (lucky me) but would gladly pay the full price. It is a steal. Some describe the action as slow, and compared to most modern graphite, it may be, but that is not my assessment. It is very light in the hand, the action is crisp and it delivers flies accurately and delicately. It is a phenomenal small stream rod IMHO. I have used everything from bead head micro buggers to size 10 dries to tiny tricos – it does it all with aplomb. The comfortable working distance is rod tip to 40' Over 40, it begins to collapse a bit. Anyhow, this very long winter and resulting cabin fever has me playing with rods and reels and dreaming about flowing water – and it prompted me to do this mini review. Would love to hear from others who have the rod, or who are considering it. Thank you for indulging:)
