I was wondering if you guys had any suggestion as to how to improve the scape of my tank? At the moment I dont dislike it but dont feel that it looks that great neither. Maybe I should move the focus of the tank to the left side entirely? Any plant suggestions? I dont run co2 but add fertilizer regularly. 🙏🏻

IMO this is a great start. You need a bunch more plants, especially shorter ones. I’ve seen people create a “path” through the “woods” with a different color substrate.

Maybe move the horizontal log (?) with the plant on it from the direct center over to the right and possibly put it at an angle.

  2. I love the thick branches! Such a cool look. I would add some taller plants and more rocks along the bottom, especially on the right side of the tank. Something to add different textures and more color.

  3. I think one of the main things is that the scape is too symetrical. Oftentimes scapers use rule of thirds or golden ratio to make a scap look more visually appaeling. Adding some pebbles might also help and give it that river bed vibe that’s already partly there.

I would try and move some of the branches to the right and have the left (that already has a lot of valisneria) mostly planted. One of the coolest plants I have is cryptocoryne nurii but that one can be hard to find even through online stores, echinodorus/sword plants are also great plants and some cultivars like red chili stay small enough to work as a middleground plant. Staurogyne repens is also a great plant since it’s easy but stays pretty low.
