After three long weeks of waiting and cycling the tank, the parameters were perfect today and my 14-year-old daughter finally got to pick out her betta! She fell in love with this koi half moon and named him Toast.

Beautiful betta! Also that is a huge log LOL. Do you guys have a heater for the tank? If not I would definitely get one, they are essential for betta care as they really thrive in water 78F-80F. Also I would consider adding in some sand as the substrate.

If you wanna get him some high quality food to alternate:
– Fluval Bug Bites Betta
– Ultra Fresh Betta Pro Shrimp Patties
You can find this online (Amazon) if not in stores. Much higher quality than most commercial brands.
