So I bought an 86 lavro from the original owner. He claims the gelcoat was redone in 2010. My first question is, should I bother repairing these dings on the chines? If so what epoxy should I use? And should I bother sanding it down? Second. The gel coat looks like it’s cracking underneath and possibly exposed to the glass, is it worth addressing? And finally, looks like the fender on the trailer has rubbed through the outer coating, it’s above the water line. Is it worth touching either? I got the boat for dirt cheap so I’m hoping to not dump a ton of money into it, just a handful of repairs.

I recall seeing a video where guy takes a heated spoon and water to repair the minor scratches shown in some of your pictures.

The larger dings? There might be more work and some other materials, but I’m basically in the same boat for the smaller scratches for my kayaks.
Edit: I could not find an 86 Larvo in a quick google search so I assumed by the close ups this was a kayak so my bad if it’s not
