Guys, if you didn’t know, PetSmart has a policy not to sell any sick animal. So if you see a betta fish, and you have the capacity to put him or her in the right environment with a big enough tank and the proper care, I’ll highly recommend you ask to adopt them.
This is Irwin, my second adopted beta fish from PetSmart. When I first got him, he had severe swim bladder. It took about three days for him to be swimming around in a normal sized tank.
Now, a week and a half later, he created a little bubble nest above his coconut cave home that I got for him. It’s so amazing to see these fish transform when they are in a healthy and safe environment.
