lol thats a lot of buckets. I switched to one of those HDX 29 gallon plastic containers from home depot instead of using 4 buckets.

I used to do this, but I didn’t have an enough buckets so would get my girlfriend to hold the water in the air!
Buy a cheap small internal filter of Amazon and use that as a pump in the bucket attached to a hose with a zip-tied sponge on the end as a diffuser. Absolute game changer 🙂

That’s a really deep water change. You know you don’t have to change it ALL right? 🙂

I only do that for the smaller tank and put it on the rolling cart as that’s a bit of weight on top of the other buckets for sure. For the larger / higher elevation tank, I use this instead. I’ve recently replaced the hose with an actual flexible clear hose.
I have a 120 gallon aquarium with a FX6 filter pump, it has a connector on the pump you connect the hose to. My aquarium is located right next to my back sliding doors that goes to my deck outside.
Connect the hose to pump, run it out to the deck, switch the valve on and the pump drains half the tank. Switch the valve off, then connect the hose to my kitchen’s faucet (bought a cheap adapter from Home Depot). Turn the valve on, turn the sink on, then watch it fill up!
No lifting, transferring water, and takes like 15 minutes.

Lol a $15 pump could save you from the heartache of spilling that bucket some day.

You should get a python tube. Absolute game changer. Never done my tanks faster. Saves moving any buckets.
