80L (20G) tall tank – freshly trimmed plants with a couple of new ‘red’ additions. Honest opinions how’s this looking?

  1. Imo the high-contrast substrate and the white rock (?) are visually quite “busy”. Combined with all the visible tech + the way its planted, it feels like theres a lot going on, there are not many places for the eye to rest. When you add fish, they will add to this busy feel and they might also “disappear” a bit because of the substrate

  2. Honestly, it looks pretty good to me. I think you could possibly move the taller plants towards the back to hide the heater and filter and get some shorter plants towards the front. Otherwise, looks good

Swap out the rock for something more natural looking. Trim and replant the tops of the totals and hygrophila.

Add a few more stones in front and attach epiphytes, especially smaller type anubias
