Spring fed creek in Florida. Crystal clear water with a strong current. This spot sticks out and the river curves around it. about 180 degrees of bank. Water is about 8 feet deep in the middle of the water and slopes up to a few inches on the sides. packed sand and down trees throughout the water. So far we’ve seen mullet( I think)

Largemouth bass, bluegill and gar

  1. Any simple cast and retrieve lure. Spinners, cranks, chatterbaits. That sorta thing.

  2. I love to fish, but would not be camping anywhere near gator infested waters in Florida!

I would start with a simple colorful 1/8 oz lead head jig with a twisty tail or small inline spinner. I would cook on a tripod grill over coals. If no material that would reduce to coals is available I would use a low circular fire with a rock in the middle or simple forked stick.
