Hi. I am a new butterfly cichlid (electric blue) owner and I bought a couple. At least they told me they were a couple. I am not 100% sure as they are hard to distinguish. Can you tell me if I own a couple or two males? Thank you in advance

Your ebas are still young ! As they age the females back end /tail area stay light blue/white and almost faint pink compared to males. I was t sure of my eba sex until she was almost a solid year old! One appears to be male for sure. I’m not sold on one being a female yet from the images but maybe someone else will chime in!
