4 months ago, I started my 30L (approx 8 gal) shrimp tank. I didn't buy any fish, but some tiny "hitchhikers" arrived in a batch of plants. At first, I thought they were just copepods because they were microscopic, but then they grew fins!

4 of them made it to the 4-month mark and they are doing great alongside my Otocinclus and Shrimps. At the beginning I was kind of scared that they would try to eat the shrimp but they didn’t grew more than 2cm approx.

Since they swim in a “hover and dart” fashion, I believe that they might be Microdevario kubotai (Green Neon Rasboras). Since they are 4 months old I assume they are adults now.

Green neon Rasbora as you suspected. I’ve got some of these and they’re lovely fish to have and watch 😉
