The other day, a family member knocked on my door and said "I think your tank is leaking!" Panic ensued.
I quickly determined that a hole has mysteriously appeared in the output hose of ny Fluval 307. This has happeend before, and the culprit was a boted orange cat named Adonis Fartacus. He is a delight 99% of the time, and s menace the other 1%.
The only way to stop him is to remove the tempting filer hose texture, as filter hoses are the natural prey of orange cats in the wild.
I took an old bear of sweatpants and dressed my hoses in them, afdixing them in place with electrical tape. So.
My filter wears pants now.
What have you had to do to pet-prood your setup?

I have to mount multiplug electrical strips to the wall instead placing it on a flat surface because cats step on the on/off switch to the strip and turn off all the power to everything in the tank.
And all small parts have to be in plastic tubs, so they can’t knock them off and run away with them.
Ugh my Orange also eats airline tubing.
I have to completely seal all fish food away in tupperware. He’s got a fever and the only cure is algae wafers and freeze dried brine shrimp.
