I know i can technically throw smaller glides on this combo but i posted this because i wasnt sure if it would just be better to get a whole diff set up just for smaller swimbaits

I’d get a faster reel. Rod seems fine at 1-6oz
You should have no problem throwing a 1oz bait…
1-2 oz is light for glides. Should be fine
