Caught this fish on an olive wooly bugger in Indian Creek in Jones Mills, PA. There is a tributary that supports a Class A wild brook trout population that empties into the stream not too far upstream of where I caught this fish. The fish in this section of Indian Creek are stocked, but but a few miles upstream there is a stretch classified as Class A wild brown trout water, so it is certainly possible that brown trout and brook trout are interbreeding in Indian Creek. The worm-like markings would certainly suggest that it is a tiger trout, but Iâm not certain given the more typical brown trout colors. What do you think?

Interesting for sure, the tail half def has tiger trout markings so I would say tiger trout, although maybe it has mostly brown trout genetics. Sweet catch!
