Decided since I've been painting minis and models for over a year now, and when I was recently putting new hooks on my crankbaits I realized I had fewer than I wanted I figured why not just make some myself. Still got some figuring out to do but I do really like how the gizzard shad pattern came out.
I did the fire tiger shallow runner first and really didn't like the two part epoxy resin, and I have a curing chamber for my resin 3D printer anyway so I got some clear UV resin for the gizzard shad that I think worked much better.
Open to any critiques or ideas for color patterns to do next. I'm in north central NC, just north of Greensboro, so color pattern ideas for this area would be great but I'm open to whatever. As of right now I will most likely be doing a bluegill pattern next on a large square bill. The three blanks I got for the first go round are the two seen here and a large square bill, and I have about twenty of each so I have plenty to experiment on.
