I named him Mephisto, and while every betta is beautiful, Mephisto stayed in my thoughts after I left the store when I went for tank-shopping. I went back the next day to get him, but obviously his tank wasn't ready for fish yet.
After I couldn't leave him there, I put him into my 15gal community tank with 6 endlers, 4 otos, and tons of shrimp, only as a temporary solution. But now that he seems straight up happy, I was wondering that I could just leave him there? It's been a week, he's exploring, eating, no glass-surfing, no stress stripes, no erratic swimming. His fins are fine too.
Is it possible that I was lucky enough to find a chill male betta? I wouldn't mind leaving him in there, I was torn between getting a new betta and getting rasboras for my new tank anyway. This way I could get both.
