Had 2 little bladder snail hitchhikers, has quickly turned into around 12. I love the little guys but starting to worry about stocking. My tank is 110L and I have 12 platy, 6 albino corydora. Currently 12 snails so far.

My two ramshorn snails are now about fifty. No problems yet. The guppies and shrimp are also breeding pretty good.

Bladder snails don’t really increase your bioload as they don’t need to be fed. You feed your fish and the snails eat leftover particles, poop, algae, biofilm and everything else that needs to be cleaned up. They will live and die and regulate their own numbers. If their numbers explode, you are either feeding too much or something died.Â
