Adding the spoiler tag as I've attached pictures of Finn's unfortunate condition when he first came home. (First picture is a happy one!)
One week today with Mr. Finn! Short for Finnegan. When I saw this sad little fish, I felt so inclined to bring him home and I'm glad I did. He already has such a pleasant personality and zest for life (it seems). He always swims up to the front of the glass to greet me (more so, begging for food!) and it's so fun to watch him explore in his plants and watch his snail friends.
I wasn't sure if he'd even make it through the first night due to extreme buoyancy issues. Poor little guy couldn't swim hardly at all and often ended up floating on his side. It didn't take long after being in his warm, clean tank to start swimming better and he even nibbled on a peice of food. It was apparent then, that he was a fighter!
I've enjoying watching his red color develop more and his dumbo fins flutter as he swims around. I can't wait to watch him grow and thrive!
