Trying to be fair to the good folks at Irod here, so questions #1: Would we agree that what I'm seeing under that resin is corrosion? I have 3 Kaimana rods, and this is happening with 2 of them (both happen to be the same model, interestingly). Similar pattern on almost every guide, and exclusive to the lower guide feet. I absolutely do rinse my rods thoroughly after use in salt. I have many other rods across different manufacturers that get similar if not more use than these and have zero issues. Question #2: Has anyone had a similar experience with their Irod rods?

And that’s why I hate stainless steel guides.
Rinsing with Saltgone should be fine and help a bit with corrosion. WD40 as well.
It does look like corrosion but hard to tell from the pic if it’s discoloration of the epoxy or rust on the guide.
The best thing to do is call Irod support and tell them what you’re seeing. They can tell you if it’s covered or not.
