I posted a few weeks ago about Frank (looking for an ID on color and all that nerdy stuff) but today I got a video of him flaring up and thought I would share!
He is really kind of docile, so he rarely flares unless he catches himself in the corner tank reflection. (No idea if that is normal or healthy so if it isn’t let me know!) I HAD NO IDEA FRANK HAD PRETTY RED GILLS! His front fins are also like iridescent or see through in parts? Also his tail has blue coming in over the red!
Frank got 6 Green Neon Tetra friends (and 3 otos that ignore him entirely) and has been happily schooling along with them. He also loves to “tickle” our big mystery snail with his tail.
No idea how much personality could come with 1.5 inches of fish, but enjoy a few week progress of Frank
