I hope this is a joke post, because really really don’t. It’s just his genetics. Take it as a sign that he’s happy. He doesn’t have to breed and it takes a lot to breed and be a responsible breeder.

Yeah don’t do it. I was contemplating the same and I know I don’t have the space time and effort to care for tens of babies and to have tens of tanks for each of them when they grow up.
So yeah, DON’T DO IT.

Why does everyone assume they should breed their betta over bubbles?
That’s like saying you need to make a baby because you got a boner and felt safe at home.

my dog is humping the couch does that mean i should let it make a bunch of puppies? lol no hate tho, i remember when i googled this exact thing w my first betta and then i realized i was the fish equivalent of humping the couch and then i felt like a total clown. but i wanted to be sure, what if they were like guppies or convict cichlids or something?!

The bubble nest apart. Does the betta use the floating cave you have? I am have been looking at them and does he enjoy it?

Def don’t unless you want 100 jars to change water in everyday

Can you imagine if we arranged marriage for every girl who ever got a period, or every boy who got a boner, regardless of readiness or potential for safe & successful raising of offspring? lol, please no

Bubble nests are a happy sign! Wild betas sometimes never come across a female in the wild! His species are used to the cold shoulder at this point. Take this as a sign that you are doing everything right. I bred bettas for 3 years, it is rewarding but selling them is difficult!!!!!!!

…If you do your research you should be fine, he looks like a rose tail/feather tail and because of this I personally wouldn’t do it. Them and dragon scales I stay away from. (You NEED to cull a handful of them because of genetic defects that make life almost impossible.) you’re going to be needing TONS of water for water changes (can be pricey depending on where you live and water quality.) also you’re going to need a decent amount of space for jars/cups when the time comes to separate males, also also unless you’re giving them away for free you’ll need a reliable way to unload all those jars… not trying to scare you away or anything- it’s just a LOT more work than people think
